1965 Shelby GT350 For Sale

Painted in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue rocker stripes, the 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 was powered by a Ford 289-cubic inch V-8 unit coupled with a four-speed manual transmission and side-exhaust pipes fitted with two-inch Glasspak mufflers. Equipped with with some Kobra Kustom accessories like welded-tube headers and cast-aluminum valve-rocker covers the engine produced 306 hp, which is 35 more then the standard V-8. In addition, the pressed-steel stock oil sump is replaced with a large cast-aluminum sump, complete with cooling fins. The exhaust system was a side-exit dual exhaust with glass-pack mufflers.
Due to SCCA B Production requirements only permitted two-seater cars, the 1965 GT350 had no rear seat. In its place was a fiberglass floor, with a spare tire mounted beneath the rear glass.
This particular unit was originally delivered to Fuller Ford, of Cincinnati, Ohio as a public relations car. Restored by Legendary Motorcar it features a correct interior, including dash mounted pod with 8,000 rpm tach and oil pressure, factory racing lap belts, 15-inch wood rimmed steering wheel and factory radio delete plate. It also features correct exhaust system as well as correct Blue Dot tires mounted on the optional Cragar wheels.
