The 2018 Ford Mustang GT Hits 60 MPH in Under 4.0 Seconds – Video

Ford has finally revealed the power and torque figures for the 2018 V8-powered GT as well the four-cylinder-powered EcoBoost models.
Ford’s most advanced and powerful Mustang GT now produces 460 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, which represent improvements over the current model’s 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. More impressive is 0-to-60-mph acceleration, which achieves in less than four seconds in Drag Strip mode. That has been achieved thanks to the new dual-fuel, high-pressure direct injection and low-pressure port fuel injection technology, all-new available 10-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox as well as the new Performance Pack, which consist of custom-designed Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires and the magnetic dampers similar to those on the GT350. The automatic allows the Mustang to use the special “Drag Mode” driving mode for the fastest shifting and maximum torque delivery.
EcoBoost-equipped Mustang also sees increased performance for 2018. The upgraded EcoBoost four-cylinder generates 310 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, which is a 30 lb.-ft. gain over the current model. When equipped with Performance Package and the 10-speed automatic, the 2018 EcoBoost-powered Mustang will run to 60 mph in under 5.0 seconds.
The 2018 Mustang will go on sale this fall, while the pricing will be announced tomorrow.
