GME Performance Bumps Up Ford Mustang’s Power To 705 HP

The folks at GME Performance have cooked up a new high performance package for the 2017 Ford Mustang GT.
The package features a completely new supercharger kit from Edelbrock, which adds an intercooler that cools down the air almost to the outside temperature. As a result, more air is compressed, which leads to greater output and torque. The German tuner also outfitted the car with the custom stainless exhaust system with a sound flap system that can open or close on the driver’s command. For relaxed travel, the noise of the exhaust system can be dampened, while on a curvy road the system opens the flaps, which underpins the driving pleasure with the appropriate sound. In order to avoid overpressure situations, the pressure is electronically monitored all the time and is displayed in the cabin. All these upgrades push the 5.0-liter V8 output to massive 705 hp at 7,000 rpm and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque available at 4,500 rpm. The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time has been reduced by 0.9 seconds to 3.9 seconds, while the top has been increased to 280 km/h (250km/h).
Besides messing with its heart, the tuner updated the skin too, with a front spoiler, side skirts, diffuser and decklid spoiler at the back, providing a sporty and elegant look.
