Saleen Build Stunning 730 hp Mustang Police Car

American pony-car tuner Saleen build another incredible Mustang, this time for the Riverside Police Officers’ Association in Riverside, California. The Mustang Police Car was personally delivered by company’s CEO Steve Saleen.
Based on the Saleen 302 Black Label, the Special Edition Saleen Mustang Police Car will be used to bring awareness and attention to their fallen officers and promotion and avocation of the Police Officers’ Assistance Fund, which provides financial assistance to officers’ families in Riverside and surrounding communities.
The Saleen Mustang features a traditional black and white livery with Riverside Police graphics, revised front end, Saleen rear wing as well as a siren and external speakers, given that it’s a police car.
Under the hood is 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 730 hp and 600 lb-ft (812 Nm) of torque. Impressive engine output comes courtesy of an all-new, a twin-screw supercharger that delivers more airflow and power throughout the rev range and a unique exhaust. In addition to the upgraded engine, the car boasts a fully revised suspension for extreme cornering, and custom high-performance braking system, giving it ultimate stopping.
The interior is clearly upgraded. The special edition is fitted with Saleen gauges and necessary police equipment with full police lighting built into the cockpit for better exterior aerodynamics.
“This is one of the fastest police vehicles ever built. It is one of the most exciting projects Saleen Automotive has been involved in. If you are attempting to elude the police in the Riverside Department’s jurisdiction, beware; your chances of getting away are quite slim,” said Steve Saleen.
