Subaru announces pricing on the updated 2018 Legacy
Subaru has announced pricing on the 2018 Legacy. 2018 Legacy now starts at $22,195, which is $200 more than the outgoing model ($21,995), while the more powerful 3.6R starts at $31,945.
Under the hood, the base 2.5-liter Boxer engine still produces 175 horsepower (130 kilowatts) and comes paired with Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with manual mode and paddle shifters. Symmetrical all-wheel drive comes standard and with the combination of Active Torque Vectoring give Legacy confident grip in all weather conditions. The mid cycle update also brings some styling enhancements to the front fascia, grille, side mirrors, and rear bumper design. The interior has also been refined to elevate Legacy’s appeal. The model now comes with a Titanium Gray color option, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 6.5-inch infotainment system, which features smartphone integration with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Pandora, and Bluetooth.
The 2018 Legacy 2.5i Premium starts at $24,295 and features 8.0-inch Subaru Starlink multimedia system with Starlink connected services, a 10-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support and all-weather package that includes things like heated front seats.
The Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sport comes standard with exclusive unique two-tone cloth interior with blue accent stitching and carbon fiber finish patterned trim. A set of 18-sport-styled wheels, sport-type front grille, body color with chrome-accent rocker trim and newly designed foldable mirrors with integrated turn signals rounds up the package. The Legacy 2.5i Sport begins at $26,345 and comes equipped with EyeSight and navigation and a suite of accompanying safety features like Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist and Reverse Automatic Braking.
Starting at $29,095, the luxurious Legacy Limited model adds a perforated leather-trimmed upholstery, heated rear seat backs and cushions as part of the All-Weather Package, 10-way Power Driver’s seat with two position memory, Power Moonroof, Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, and Power Lumbar Support. Additionally, a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and foldable side mirrors give Legacy more slick look. Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are also standard on Limited package.
The top of the line model, the Legacy 3.6R Limited utilizes a powerful 3.6-liter, 6-cylinder BOXER engine that delivers 256 horsepower. The engine is mated to a high torque CVT with steering wheel paddle-shift control switches and 6-speed manual shift mode. Steering Responsive Headlights, Automatic LED Low and High Beam Height Adjustment Control for the LED headlights and stainless steel exhaust tip surrounds are all standard on 3.6R Limited. The model starts at $31,945.
The 2018 Legacy model will arrive into retailers this Summer.
